Maori Massage Workshops 2013 – Busy Calendar
Wahine Toa Three Hearts Hauora Workshop
Wikitoria Maori Healing is facilitating a two day health and wellbeing workshop for young Rotorua women ages 13 – 17 years, February 15th-16th, 2013 at RAVE Community Arts Village and sponsored by Creative Communities NZ Rotorua Scheme.
This project is based on the traditional Maori healing arts originating from the three baskets of knowledge. It aims to give rangatahi an opportunity to explore who they are, their universal connections, mauri, and rights of passage as they shift into sacred young women. The Hauora workshop based on a holistic kaupapa will offer creative excercises that will identify and link physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the individual .
By exploring their highest values, rangatahi will learn tools to lead a healthy, fulfilling and empowering life to manifest their full potential.
Wikitoria Oman, founder of Wikitoria Maori Healing based in Ngongotaha, is of Ngati Whakaue descent and is very excited about facilitating her first rangatahi waananga in Rotorua with friend and co-facilitator Lily Eden and hopes in the future to offer workshops for young men. Her first Koriro Waananga was for her Te Atiawa Iwi in 2008 in Motueka. For the past two years Wikitoria has been conducting Maori Healing Romiromi workshops in Rotorua ,Australia and Hawaii and currently offers private consultations at Lakeside Retreat , Ngongotaha, Rotorua.
