Last Sunday Shayne had two interesting couples from Florida and Australia booked in to experience our Rotorua Couples Massage. Weekends are our busiest times because so many people visit Rotorua – situated in the heart of the North Island. Rotorua is a tourist mecca, a geothermal haven steeped in Maori culture and visitors are often curious to experience a traditional Romiromi massage.

After our busy Sunday with two Couples Massage back to back, our friend and neighbour Stewart treated us to a trip to the local’s secret hot springs, the special ones on Lake Rotoiti which you can only get to by boat, called Manupirua Thermal Springs.

What a treat! I hadn’t been there since a child. There are at least five pools with different levels and temperatures. So you sit in a pool under a pohutakawa tree looking out to Lake Rotoiti…. Bliss…if you get too hot you can jump off the jetty into the Lake?
